AMBA’s newest member is Big Grove Brewery, proudly “rooted in Iowa.” First opening their doors in 2013, Big Grove leans heavily into the culture of Iowa hospitality focusing on both their beer and food offerings. Big Grove also has a strong ethic of giving back to the communities they are in. Their special releases have generated support for causes ranging from water quality to mental health initiatives in the state. Through these efforts the brewery has realized steady growth over the past ten years, soon offering that hospitality in four locations throughout the state.
Big Grove’s Director of Brewing, Andy Joynt, sees value in Associate membership with AMBA; offering support towards the research based organization while gaining access to valuable information to allow them to be more informed on their barley supply and the malting industry.
AMBA is excited to bring on new members, like Big Grove Brewery, which furthers our mission to encourage and support production of an adequate supply of high quality malting barley for our various end-user members. This is accomplished by building a network of engaged barley interests so that the best available research informs the development and production of the U.S. malting barley crop.
