Call for abstracts open for Barley Improvement Conference poster session
The Barley Improvement Conference is offering a limited opportunity for attendees to share their research in a nontraditional format; prioritizing inclusion from graduate students and postdocs. Scientists will have the opportunity to present a 90 second elevator speech inviting attendees to visit with them during the Welcome Reception at the conclusion of day 1 (January 7th).
Abstracts must be submitted by November 3rd following the guidelines in the solicitation. Accepted presenters must register and attend the BIC. Those participating will also need to create an 11" x 17" image/graphic/artifact that they will display during the reception to spark conversation. Timeline:
- October 1: Call for abstracts open
- November 3: Applications & abstracts due 5 pm CT
- November 17: Accepted abstracts notified
- December 15: Slide & artifact due
- January 7: BIC Welcome Reception & “Poster Session”
