Mitchell Japp is the Research and Extension Manager at SaskBarley. Mitchell joined SaskBarley in 2020 to coordinate the research portfolio and share the results of the research with farmers so they can implement the ideas on-farm. SaskBarley has several options to get information, centred around the BarleyBin, SaskBarley’s extension arm. Mitchell is excited about idea generation and seeing the results. Mitchell and his family live on an acreage, near Lumsden, Sask.

Presentation: Reasonable Expectations: What's possible with cover crops in northern barley systems"
Bio: Brady Goettl’s expertise lies at the confluence of soil fertility, soil health, and farmer outreach. A Wisconsin native, Goettl worked for several years as a crop advisor and nutrient management planner before joining North Dakota State University in 2020. In his current position as Assistant Professor of Extension Soil Science, he collaborates with researchers, Extension personnel, and producers to conduct research and outreach to help North Dakota farmers implement soil conservation practices and improve fertility management.
