Pinthouse joins AMBA
Pinthouse, an Austin, TX based Brewpub group was formed in 2012 by six friends. They have grown from a single location in central Austin, to 4 locations in greater Austin producing over 23,000 bbls of beer for the Austin and San Antonio market. Their V.P. of Brewing Operations, Joe Mohrfeld, is very agriculturally focused and works to build relationships with the growers and suppliers of their raw materials and understands the importance that quality raw materials play in producing exceptional beer. Pinthouse is excited to be the newest member to join AMBA.
Pinthouse’s membership to AMBA is driven by their desire to learn more about malt quality, the malting barley supply chain, and to better understand the current challenges facing agriculture and brewers. They look forward to gaining knowledge on advancements in barley breeding and improvement, and how to develop solutions to address challenges within the supply chain.
AMBA is excited to bring on new members, like Pinthouse, which furthers our mission to encourage and support production of an adequate supply of high quality malting barley for our various end-user members. This is accomplished by building a network of engaged barley interests so that the best available research informs the development and production of the U.S. malting barley crop.
