Great Lakes Malting Company joins AMBA
The American Malting Barley Association (AMBA) welcomes Great Lakes Malting Company (GLMC) as their newest member. GLMC is an independent malting company based in Traverse City, Michigan. Since their inception in 2014, they have remained committed to sourcing the highest quality malting barley from within the state of Michigan. Their malted grains can be found in many of the breweries and distilleries around the Great Lakes region.
GLMC chose to invest in AMBA to gain access to their funded research and to better understand the implications of that research on their business and the industry. They look forward to connecting with other industry stakeholders in order to learn more about the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.
AMBA is very excited to welcome Great Lakes Malting Company to our membership base as a leader in craft malt production in the Great Lakes region. Their participation and investment furthers our mission to encourage and support production of an adequate supply of high quality malting barley for our various end-user members. This is accomplished by building a network of engaged barley interests so that the best available research informs the development and production of the U.S. malting barley crop.
