AMBA featured in Brewers Association webinar; discusses need for public investment in barley

Every year, unique circumstances influence markets, and barley and hops are not immune to economic forces. To maintain a healthy supply chain, many efforts from research and development, federal affairs, consumer surveys, and forecasting collide.

This webinar explored the factors shaping the marketplace so that attendees could gain a better understanding of the activities that support and shed light on the state of the industry. Ashley McFarland, Vice President and Technical Director of the American Malting Barley Association (AMBA), Bryan Thoet from the Hop Research Council (HRC), and Bart Watson, Brewers Association (BA) Chief Economist provided a glimpse at what’s happening with barley and hops in 2022 and beyond.
