USDA - NASS Census Harvested Acreage Maps

The USDA publishes agricultural census data every 5 years.  AMBA has used this data to produce harvested acreage maps by county.  There is one map for the whole US and then this is broken down into regions.

Harvesting, Drying, and Storing Malting Barley
 
Maltsters will pay premiums for malting barley that has been harvested in good condition and stored properly.  Bright barley with good germination, sound kernels and intact husks are required for malting and brewing.  read more...

Malting Barley Quality Requirements

Premiums are paid for malting barley that is uniform and meets several quality specifications. These premiums reward growers that produce malting barley meeting these requirements. Specification thresholds vary based upon individual brewer requirements for the product that is being produced.  read more...
